MOVING ON

July 9, 2021
For 30 years Martin Stern has been at the helm of our nursery, store, events and community. Today we are announcing his retirement from Squire House Gardens.

Together with the late Richard Meacock, they built a dream that has survived 30 years as a small business because of your patronage and support. Martin is walking forward into this next phase of his life with gratitude for your business and many memories, not only of Squire House the place, but of the Squire House community.

People come to Squire House not only to buy beautiful statuary, healthy, hard-to-find plants and thoughtful gifts, but also to find respite and inspiration in the garden and grounds, which have been a labor of love by Martin and Richard for the enjoyment of all of us.

We’re pleased to tell you that the Squire House torch will be passed to the capable hands of Jill and Nicholas Livingston. They bring with them years of experience in retail, food, wine, garden design and plant knowledge. We are excited for them to bring many fresh ideas and an inspired vision! They plan to re-open in Spring 2022. More from them soon.

Thank you, sincerely, for your support over the last 30 years.
