If you haven't tried Carpenter Nature
Center's apples, you are missing out on some of the tastiest and
healthiest apples in Minnesota! One of the highlights of your visit should
be the Carpenter Apple Orchard. The orchard began as a passion of Thomas and Edna
Carpenter in the early 40’s and continues today! The mission of our
modern day orchard is to grow high quality produce in an ecological and
sustainable manner.
Whistling Well Farm
Pick your own apples, pumpkins
and dig your own potted fall mums. Pre-picked also available. Lots of
farm animals, fall-related gifts, squash, gourds, ornamental corn, corn
stalks, jams and jellies. Open 9 a.m. to dusk, mid-August through
November. Located on corner of 90th and St. Croix Trail (2 miles south
of Afton Alps) in Denmark Twp.
